Ansel Adams was both a photographer and an environmentalist. Adams created the “Zone System” which is a way to determine the correct exposure and how to adjust the contrast of the print. Adams usually used Large format cameras. Even though these cameras were very difficult to manage, and also with a high price for film, Adams preferred these cameras for their high resolution.

I really enjoy Adams work because I think that black and white photography has a sense of romance and mystery to it. I also like his pieces because they tend to be of very rural and natural areas.
