Featured Photographer

Richard Avedon was an American artist. He was born on May 15, 1923, and died on October 4, 2004. His first ‘‘gig’’ as a photographer was taking ID pictures for the Merchant Marines. Then in 1944 he was given another photography job as an advertising photographer for a department store. He was then quickly noticed by Alexey Brodovitch who was the director at a fashion magazine called Harper’s Bazaar. He eventually became lead photographer at Vogue.
In full honesty in not one of Avedon’s biggest fans. Im am also not a fan of fashon photography. I guess im just so used to seeing it, i enjoy pictures of something new, exciting, and original. It all just seems too bland.
